The Spottery

The Spottery is a modern take on the paint-your-own-pottery studio, featuring functional ceramic pieces handmade by local artists rather than mass-produced blanks.

Inspired by childhood visits to pottery studios with her older sister, Meagan envisioned a space where customers could create meaningful keepsakes while supporting local ceramicists. The concept brings together creativity, participation, retail, and community in one memorable experience.

The Spottery was selected as a finalist in Sacramento’s Calling All Dreamers competition. Although Meagan relocated to Los Angeles before bringing the business to life, the idea continues to inform her creative work and personal ceramics practice.
