COLLAGE

I began working with collage in 2020 while learning Procreate. After years hunching over to carve rubber stamps by hand, the digital process gave me a comfortable way to keep making. I enjoyed gathering imagery, “cutting it” apart, and working it into new compositions that felt strangely personal.

Once comfortable with the digital process, I shifted back to analog, utilizing unique magazines I had collected for years. The process became a kind of visual diary, revealing what I was drawn to and giving thoughts and emotions visual form.

To date, I’ve made hundreds of collages and the practice continues to shape my aesthetic. Most recently, I collaged onto matchbooks to create one-of-a-kind business cards for The Art of Attention.
